Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.
Children's Sunday School
Sunday School is offered for children of all ages from birth to sixth grade. Babies to Kindergarteners meet in the Preschool Zone on the first floor. Children grades one through six meet on the second floor in our Education Building. FBC uses the Explore the Bible curriculum from Lifeway.
"Explore the Bible: Kids wants to help your kids dig deep into God's Word! Using a book-by-book format, every session brings the Bible to life through rich study and engaging Bible objects, equips kids with foundational Bible knowledge and skills, and encourages them to live what they learn everywhere they go."
Children on Mission
Through RAs, GAs and Mission Friends, children will learn a biblical worldview with an emphasis on missions learning and missional living. The children meet (during the school year) each Wednesday evening at 6:00. RAs and GAs are for boys and girls from first through sixth grade. Mission Friends includes children from three years old to Kindergarten.
This year our RAs went to Waco to race their derby cars. Good job boys!
One of our favorite weeks of the year - VBS will be June 12-16!
Turn your kids into Galactic Starveyors! As kids focus their telescopes on the marvels painted in the sky by the Creator, they will discover the wonder among all wonders - that the God who created everything there is - the knowable and the unknowable, the visible and the invisible - wants a personal relationship with them! Invite your kids into the clubhouse and show
them the God who is over the moon in love with them.
Children's Day at First Baptist
Each year in May, we choose a Sunday to celebrate our children. They play a very special part in our morning Worship service helping to lead in a variety of ways. Then following our service, First Baptist provides a meal for children and their families and we spend the afternoon playing in the gym with an inflatable obstacle course and bounce house. This is a great day to invite a friend!
This year, Children's Day will be May 21st. Be sure to join us!
